Football is exciting and has a lot of history that is intriguing. There are many coaches who have been very interesting and fun to watch. I remember Paul Bear Bryant coaching the University of Alabama. He looked like a tough guy, but all of them did back then. He won a lot of games and Alabama was at the top plenty of times. I somewhat remember Shug Jordan of Auburn. I know Auburn had a great team and Shug must have let them know that they were to get in the game and win or stay home. I think the coach at Tennessee was Neyland and The Vols were attached to him. I am not sure when Rocky Top was started, but it is the theme song of the University of Tennessee. Bobby Dodd was the revered coach at Georgia Tech. He coached the Yellow Jackets to victory plenty of years and as a tribute of his greatness, the stadium is named after him. I saw him one time on Northside Drive, coming out of Bitsy Grant Tennis Center. I remember Wally Butts. He was with the Dawgs when they would lose each year. I think Wally got into some trouble doing something wrong. The Dawgs used to lose to Georgia Tech each year and the Dawg Fans were scarce. Not all were; I lived with one fan who never gave up on his Dawgs. He took kidding and harassment, but always stayed loyal to his beloved Dawgs. Football is great and I am proud to be a fan.
